At She’s Trending, we love highlighting women who are making an impact in their industry to bridge a new generation of tastemakers. We’re inspired by Greenwood Brewing, a woman-owned Phoenix brewery with tasty craft beers that inspire bold conversations and meaningful experiences. Stories spark narratives, and each beer that is handcrafted at Greenwood Brewing shares a story (nevertheless, a memory) to cherish the good times.
With craft beers such as Herstory Brew, EBD Brew (Elegant Beer Drinker) and Essence Ale, Greenwood Brewing is re-defining what it means to have a social conversation. Each beer is specifically crafted with her in mind; however it’s the Pale Ale Brew that’s the flagship beer at Greenwood Brewing. As the name implies, Herstory Brew is about stories and sharing narratives that empower one another. To put the icing on the cake, Herstory Brew gets even better, as Greenwood Brewing allows you to nominate a fellow “Brew-Lover” which can be yourself, a friend or even a mentor that inspires you.
Just as Herstory Brew is opening up the conversation to makers and creators alike, founder Megan Greenwood is defining her entrepreneurial journey with authenticity. Before Greenwood Brewing was created, Megan created a blog called Elegant Beer Drinker to highlight women and companies in the beer industry. Though the blog was not her ultimate path to success, it opened the door for new opportunities along with the Pink Boot Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and educating women beer professionals.
The moral of this entrepreneurial story is that if you have a dream, don’t be afraid to make it a reality. For years, beer has been considered a “man’s drink,” and Greenwood Brewing is breaking stereotypes with her in mind. Megan Greenwood is trending because she’s redefining what it means to be a beer drinker while empowering a new generation of storytellers who are passionate about their brews.
